I wanted more up-to-date car reliability information that made the differences between cars clearer. So a few years ago I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now updates actual repair frequencies, not just dots, four times a year, to track cars closely as they age.

We've had excellent participation by Audi owners. Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, following the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the allroad, for free. I'll share results for the A4 allroad in this thread after each update.

We've updated our reliability stats for the A4 allroad to include owner experiences through March 31, 2013. With a reported repair frequency of 15 repair trips per 100 cars per year, these cars have had few problems so far.

With the exception of the steering rack replacement ---- I have not had any problems with my 2013 allroad. It's been the most problem free vehicle I've owned in the last 14-years.

2013 allroad: 17, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 allroad: 83, < 1

We'll have further updates in February and in May. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

We especially need more 2014s, to start providing stats on these.

This is great news. Between this an Consumer Reports' latest info ---- the new AR is looking to reach "bulletproof" status.

Just be aware that these cars are still quite new, and that CR's predictions are entirely based on the first three years of ownership. The current generation Audis tend to be well-behaved for the first 3-4 years, 6 at the outside. For "bulletproof" many people would want to see solid reliability for considerably longer.

We just updated stats again, but I haven't run the script to tag them with low, moderate, etc.
