I have to agree with the posters who say that 2013 Q5's do not allow direct CD ripping to hard drive even if enabled in hidden menu. My 2013 was manufactured in April 2013. I have tried multiple times to allow this. No luck. I followed Spijun's instructions and others and still cannot do it. I believe Audi changed something in the programming. All my VCDS modifications were easy.

Anybody out there with a 2013/2014 that has enabled this? Please post build date if you can.

I know this is the wrong section but I got here through Google searching "imoprt from CD". I have a 2014 A6 delivered late November. Today just for the hell of it, I tried to import from CD and it worked without issue. I have never vagged the car or entered the hidden menu. Is this something that the dealer did himself? So, it IS possible to rip store bought CDs to the HDD.Im told that all the latest updates are in my vehicle. Perhaps an update is needed and this is now included??

It's possible the CD you imported did not have copy-protection? I have the latest MMI software (0715-2) and I'll try it again on mine.

I have 2014 P+ A4 in North America with Nav/MMI. CD importing works fine for me.
