audi 5000s won't start
Hi everyone, im new to this and im hoping to get some info to get my 5000s running again. It's a 85 audi 5000s and around september i got into an accedent and rear ended a uhaul, my grill got pushed in and cut a few wires and now it won't turn over. it has no spark or fuel, two of those wires that got cut came from the radiator resistor pack, idk if maybe that caused a short or if it has a kill switch. does anyone have an idea of what it might be or have had this problem?

I believe the wire from your ignition switch to the starter runs right across the back of your front bumper, in a sleeve. Trace the starter wire (blue?) back towards the bumper, and across, to see if there's a break somewhere.

thanks for the replys, i'll have do some testing from scotts website.
the car cranks it just wont turn over for lack of fuel and spark, the only wires that were damaged were E2 and E3 from th radiator resistor pack and a purple and white wire inside the sleeve you mentioned. all three were touching the radiator support

sounds like your ECU is not sending out a signal for fuel and/or spark. check your fuel pump relay, sensor connections at power steering pump bracket, ECU ground at back of throttle body, timing & rpm sensors, and ignition fuses in box and under dash. maybe the cut wires blew a fuse somewhere. also, did car take a hard hit ? may have knocked distributor / timing off. does tach jump when trying to start car ? if not, points to distributor.

check timing
i crashed a 5000 a while back and the front rad support crushed the timing belt cover and caused the timing belt to shred. no timing = no ihnition or fuel. these cars have a cutoff if the timing is messed up. (im pretty sure anyway) good luck with it
