Default 2007 A6Q Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Replacement

Hey everyone, first time poster, long time reader. I've been looking to replace the front upper and lower control arms on my A6Q with 105000 miles on her. During my research I found that Blauparts has a Control Arm Kit for around $600.00. Is this a good kit or should I look at other options. I enjoy the stock ride and handling of my car.

I've used Blau parts in the past and find them ok...but they can be 'hit and miss', however that was primarily for my C5. On my C6, I've NOT used them and subjectively speaking, feel that the overall quality of parts is just ok. I would spend my money on getting genuine parts from the likes of http://genuineaudiparts.com/partloca...?siteid=214407 vs. potentially dealing with Chinese made parts.

Thanks for the quick reply. Reading their kit description, it sounded like the parts are from a reliable supplier.

FWIW, I'd also recommend http://www.fcpeuro.com I've ordered bunch of stuff from them in the past and good parts with very good warranty and support.

Lastly, personally I've had great success with http://www.rmeuropean.com/

Like I said, Blau would not be near my first choice. Case in point a few years ago I was doing a complete timing belt AND new suspension on the car (control arms & struts) - ordered all through Blau. Well everything got there in various time frames, from a week to 2 weeks! Then I had an issue whereby one of the gaskets was leaking as soon as I put it on (perhaps a $10 part). Blau wanted me to send it in and WAIT for a replacement! I told them I could take a pic and why don't they just sent me the replacement so my vehicle is not out of commission for even longer!? Also, they failed to send a bolt critical to the control arms and do avoid hassle I went down and got one at my local h/w store. whereby with the other places I've listed I've never had such issues...in fact no mistakes at all

If you want to save some $ and want the OEM parts, just order the Lemforder parts. They are the same manufacture who makes most of our suspension parts. When I replaced the bushings, they were identical with the original ones.

The sway bar connectors actually have Audi logos (which they remove for consumers).

Don't forget about us!! Only factory, OEM parts at great prices!
If you are replacing all 8 "Links" 4 on each side, you are looking at around $1900.00 for links, nuts and bolts. If you want to PM me your VIN I can get you an exact quote.

Sorry jake. I've not ordered from you...yet. But it looks like I may need some parts in the new year so will remember to give you a shout. Cheers

I am a big fan of OEM. If you can get them at a discount they are even better!
