Will my CEL go out on its own after coil replacement?
69,000 miles. CEL and very rough running on way home from work. This happened 3 miles from the house, so finished driving it home.
This happened before at 48,000 miles and it was a coil.
Replaced the #2 coil and all is well again, except the CEL. Last time i disconnected the battery to try to put it out and it worked. BUT, the remote locks wouldn't work and the ESP wouldn't work. That was a PITA and I had to get those reset. I don't want to have to do that again.
So this leads to the question- If I do nothing and there arn't any other problems will the CEL go away on its own? My nissan truck will reset itself after about 2 weeks when I repair electrical problems. How about this thing?
Thanks
