Frozen trunk?

Frozen trunk?
With my current car I often go skiing and have it parked for some time or in the snow/cold. Sometimes it takes a little extra force just to break a thin barrier of ice or otherwise frozen shut a bit
How would this work on the Q5 with it being automatic? Wouldn't it break the motor? It's not like I always know if it's stuck a little or not...

I had the same thought regarding the rear wiper. I disabled the auto wipe when reversing with VCDS in case I forget to loosen the wiper from the glass.

It works the same way opening as it does closing- if something impedes the cycle the motor stops and holds the hatch.
I skied all last year- 4 to 5 days a week, in some pretty severe conditions and never had a problem with the hatch sticking.
