wheel clearance of B5S4 brakes vs Stoptech 332mm BBK
I am putting the Stoptech 332mm kit on my B6 A4. But i am looking for new 17" wheels for the car. Tirerack is telling me only 3 wheels will clear. Is the caliper of the Stoptech 332mm kit that much bigger than the B5 S4 calipers?
I ask since tirerack lists a ton of 17" wheels that will fit the B5 S4 (i thought these had the hard to fit calipers) and i would like another set of wheels.
Any ideas or suggestions? thanks.

The Tire Rack is excellent at wheel fits. The web site is programmed with conservative, "bulletproof" recommendations that they know won't get anyone into trouble. The sales staff has access to a more detailed database that covers "special applications" for certain platforms. They are the best in the industry. Nobody else I'm aware of comes close to the vehicle/wheel data they can provide, unless you get into really crazy stuff where significant body modification is involved.
If you're looking for a broader range of wheel options than those offered by The Tire Rack, I would suggest contacting one of StopTech's VW/Audi-focused resellers to ask for suggestions.

Our own sales staff knows some of this stuff, but they have to keep up with all 450 applications we make, so they may not have the depth of someone who just does Audis all day.
I hope this helps.

thanks for the info. My stoptechs will be installed early next month so i
am going to order 1 wheel of the 2 wheels i like so i can see if they fit. It is easier to stomach loosing a little shipping money than having 4 mounted wheels that don't fit.Tirerack was helpful, but not as detailed as i would like.
