Pickup truck.

Otherwise, you'll have to have the shop cut off the piping near the mufflers (there's an indentation on the pipes for where to cut). I had mine cut, and you just use exhaust pipe sleeves from Audi to connect it together later. I did the same on my 2011 S4, and there were no issues.

IIRC, the only time the exhaust comes in 1-piece is off the assembly line. If you ever needed to replace your exhaust after, the mufflers would come separately.

Well, that's MTM. Whether or not it is worth it is an individual decision.

Got the exhaust installed a couple weeks ago. I love it. However, here are some impressions.

At exactly 2000rpm, it sounds a little drone-y but goes away under hard acceleration or 1900 or 2100 rpm it goes away. Don't notice it much anymore, but the tenor of the sound changes. Maybe that will settle out over some miles.

Some have talked about it, but you can 100% tell when it goes in to V4 mode. It sounds like someone stuck a plastic bag over the sound. And then a pop when the full v8 comes back. It's hard to describe, and hard to hear because it only happens at higher speed and lower throttle (duh!). So it's subtle, but noticeable.

I can definitely tell when it goes into and out of 4-cylinder mode, but I don't find it annoying. I don't hear any pop when it goes back to V8 mode on mine, and I don't notice any drone, either.

I don't know if drone is the right word, but it's definitely different. Not a complaint, but observation. Keep it over 2000rpm. Problem solved.
