Trips to the dealer
Just curious if anyone else is experiencing the same level of dealer / quality frustration as I am.
A quick poll; excluding normal maintenance visits, how many times have you needed to take your S6 back to the dealership and how long have you owned it? (And recalls / TSBs are definitely not normal maintenance.)
For myself; 5 dealer returns, owned car 6 months.

Mine's been pretty good, though as I mentioned in the "Throttle Lag" thread, I did have to take it in twice for that issue only to be told there was nothing they could do. They did fix an annoying squeaking coming from the seat belt at the same time, though, so wasn't completely wasted. Also updated the MMI to 715.
Is the NOVA in your username for Northern VA? I was under the impression there were a ton of dealers in that area; maybe try another if you feel like they aren't addressing your needs? Or a call to AoA Customer Service can be helpful sometimes, depending upon what exactly you are experiencing.

Here's a hint...
It's NOT a fast Japanese car, it's the world's most reliable Italian car.
If you come in expecting a really fast and luxurious Japanese car (as I did back in 2000) then you will be incredibly disappointed. If you look at your Audi as if it were an Italian car, you will be amazed by the reliability. Frankly if you can't make that mental adjustment I fear you will never be happy with your car - it is and will always be a high-maintenance vehicle.
I certainly hope things have improved in the 14 years since I got my first Audi, but I doubt it - at least I'm going in eyes-wide-open this time around.

I think he means it's all about expectations. If you expect an S6 to be a honda civic and run forever without problems, you'll be disappointed. If you expect it to be an Italian supercar, you'll be happy it only has a few issues here and there.
I've been happy with my service issues. Only 2 outside of regular maintenance in a year.

4K miles so far. One trip to the dealer for scheduled service and one for fuel line recall, TSB's and a dash rattle that is gone but replaced by another one.
