Default So, I suppose I should start diagnosing my car.

Trouble starting rarely over the past few weeks. Sometimes I would crank for 3-5 seconds, pause, crank again, and it would start right up. Other times it would just start.

Now it won't start at all. Any ideas? What are the symptoms of a bad POS? Spark on only 2 or 3 cylinders?

I'm going to go check for spark and fuel. At least it's nice out.

Also, any ideas for how to check spark without anyone to help me and crank the motor?

Default Hook a jumper switch up to the starter....

connect one lead to the start wire at the starter and the other lead to the positve battery post at starter. Turn the ignition switch to the run position and crank. MAKE SURE THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL WITH E-BRAKE ON. I figure you know this but its still worth mentioning. Good luck.
