It has a couple of issues:
2 Faults Found:
19497 - Powertrain Databus*
* * * * * * P3041 - 004 - Implausible Engine Temp. Message from Inst. Panel - Intermittent
17819 - Secondary Air Injection System; Bank 2*
* * * * * * P1411 - 002 - Insufficient Flow - MIL ON
Readiness: 0000 0000

3 Faults Found:
00710 - Defroster Flap Positioning Motor (V107)*
* * * * * * 41-00 - Blocked or No Voltage
01810 - Actuating Motor for Temperature Flap; Right (V159)*
* * * * * * 41-00 - Blocked or No Voltage
00716 - Air recirculation Flap Positioning Motor (V113)*
* * * * * * 41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent
The air con blows ice cold on the drivers side and hot on the passengers?
The engine light has just illuminated?
I have had the engine code clear and it hasn't reappeared YET!
I am completely new to the world of Audi's and Audi forums I hope some can help??

Hi.
Have a look at the combi valves bolted onto the back of both cyl heads. They have vac pipes on them which are prone to splitting. These are for the secondary air system.
Also check the black corrugated plastic pipe work which comes from the air filter housing down to the sec air pump, for correct fitment or cracks.
Regarding the no cold air on the pass side, this is def the right pass temp flap motor fault that is logged. Very common for the motor to fail. The motor operates the flap to move from hot to cold. If you have access to a tester, try running the "basic setting" function to try to restore its operation. Doesn't always work but as you mave multiple faults, worth a go.

Gsjohal,
Many thanks - i will inspect the pipes tomorrow. Can I access the motor by removing the glove box?
As a separate issue the temp guage just stopped working whilst travelling down the M5! Engine drives and sounds fine any ideas? Or is it another trip to the VCDS man!!!
Cheers for the help thus far.

Hi.
You can access the temp flap motor by removing the glovebox. It is fiddly and there's not a lot if room, but you can get to it.
Ref the temp gauge, there was a fault logged that says implausible engine temp message from instrument panel. This suggests that the instrument panel is faulty.
From my experience the coolant temp sender is a common cause also. Does the gauge even move slightly when the ignition is switched on? If yes then it's prob the sender, but if not then the instrument panel. VCDS would test the gauge and also the signal from the sender, to confirm either.
