A4 Cabriolet hood pump non-audi repairers?
Just been informed by Audi dealer that the hood actuating pump has gone on my 2007 1.8T hood
They want £2200 for the part plus VAT and fitting - £2800 estimate. This is a third to half the car's value
Anyone know any non franchise hood specialist/audi specialist that might fix it cheaper? Preferably in the Midlands
Was expecting them to say it was the motor and charge about £400 inc fitting but was shocked that a hydraulic pump can cost that much when it's almost certainly just seals or relays.
Any advice appreciated
Mick

Here's a group that will overhaul the hood hydraulic fluid pump motor. See terrific DIY for finding and removing the pump buried in the trunk/boot.
