Installing alcolock interlock device in my A4 3.0TDI
I will be forced to have an alcolock interlock device installed in my 2009(my10) A4 3.0 TDI in 2 weeks. It works by you having to blow and register a zero alcohol reading before you start the car. If it registers alcohol then it shuts down the ignition system by the engine not being able to be started. The auto electricians who have been awarded these contracts by the state government have never installed the devices in cars with a push button start/stop. Is there someone out there who can help me please. My great concern is that the auto electricians will butcher my car by having to cut holes into the firewall, and how do they run the wiring from the engine to the 2 ignitions? The one in the dashboard and in particular the button on the middle console. Will it be all too hard and what dangers/faults could arise from this device being fitted? Regards WSMatt....please help me!!
