I was able to complete many of the "favorite" VCDS mods to my 2013 Q5 without any problems. However, there are several mods that have been listed over the last few years that do not seem to work on a 2013. I assume the same is true for a 2014.

These are the mods that do not seem to be possible with a 2013 using VAG-COM and the Hidden Menu. Has anyone else had any luck with these on a 2013 or 2014?

- Enable battery meter
- Enable CD ripping to MMI Juke Box
- Disable warning about entering phone date while car is in motion
- Change turn-off speed for rear-view camera when changing to drive from reverse
- Enable release of parking brake without foot on brake
- Enable release of parking brake without wearing seat belt

I just downloaded and used the latest VAG-COM software version but these mods either do not work when coding changes are made or are they not even possible due to a different layout. When changes do not work, I restore to the original configuration and I have not received any fault codes, thankfully.

Many forget to do this after the change: reset the MMI

I followed these same steps. But no luck. Isn't resetting the MMI the only way to get out of the Hidden Menu?

If not make the correct restart the MMI changes that you made will not be activated
