I wanted to locate an S-line Avant with the following:

Daytone Gray OR Quartz Gray OR Oyster Gray
Amaretto OR Ebony
S-Line with 19's or 18's
Tech package or NAV
Sport seats
Convenience packaage

and would have taken anything else like power hatch, manual rear shades etc.

Nothing in the country fit my requirements.
Was told that there is no allocation of S-lines until maybe end of January and no delivery until end of April.

I will probably end up doing a European delivery and will probably end up waiting till MY 2008. I would love to find out that the 3.0 TDI will be an option for the Avant with S-line. (It is available this way in Europe.)

So no big deal for now but just more surprising that really well optioned S-lines are not out there in exterior gray color schemes.

BTW, my dealer has a 3.2 sedan, S-line with 19" BBS's and leather driver dash. For the $1200+ option price it does nothing for me but it is really beautiful. The contrast stitching is excellent. I will test drive this vehicle this week to help me decide if the 19" BBS with sport suspension is doable or if its just too firm.

Didn't think that thte "S" line was available in US for Avant?-- only in Europe ?

I'm not sure in the US, but here A6 s-line only comes in ebony interior.

For '07 you can get S-line now...I thought they were going to add 4.2 Avants as well...guess not!
