Default Prolly a dumb question - S5 battery location?

I heard that the S5 has the battery in the trunk - is that correct? I need to install an amp but haven't looked into it yet and figured this was the best source for info. Anyone done an amp installation "how-to" or "write-up". I've done several systems before and know a few things about automotive electronics, but I just got this car a couple of mths ago. I can't seem to find anything from Google about where the damn battery is at...

I don't have my car yet but IIRC from the forum, the battery is located underneath the compact spare.

Thanks - I will have to look this weekend when I have some free time. Should be pretty damned easy to install an amp, then. Anyone know where to find a good 12v switched lead in the trunk to tell the amp when to turn on?

It's definitely in the trunk. This and a hundred other reasons I call this a sportscar and not a GT.

I use the power coming from the homelink fuse to activate my V1. The cigarette lighter is switched too.
