I was browsing the latest PIB and noticed 57% of Q5 owners are male. I'm guessing that percentage is even higher on the forums because car enthusiasts tend to be male.

I like the initial results so far on this poll after all the threads talking about the Q being a soccer moms car. Of course maybe it is just that the soccers moms don't spend any time on a forum about cars, they spend all their time on parenting forums instead??

Voting on the forum does not show the real situation. I know 4 Q5 owners who are not members of the forum, and I think there are a lot of owners who are not members of the forum.
I do not understand the purpose of this voting

I'm a 2014 q5 owner and male. Personally I like the smaller suvs. Cars are too low to the ground, I don't need the size of a q7 ...yet...

There's something called sampling error in statistics. For example if there are 10,000 Q5 owners and we poll 100 of them, there will be a sampling error of approximately 10%. That's not too far off base; however, in the case of polling on these specific forums there is a significant bias that needs to be taken into account: car enthusiasts are more likely to read a car forum than soccer moms are, hence skewing our results.

In summary: I think it's nice to know a little more about the people we interact with on these forums.

I'm male, but the Q is my wife's car. I drive it when we're driving together, but my car is a 3 series coupe. Next one will be a sedan, either an S4 or another 3 series.
