Default Dipstick Part Deux

At least not "Part Duh"! The correct one arrived today via USPS. Curiously the top is yellow, not orange as pictured on the ECS Tuning website. But no matter -- it's about 1-1/2" longer than the 3.0T/3.2L one. And, best news of all, the automated oil level indicator is spot-on with the manual dipstick, about 75% of max and burning oil very slowly. (Whew.)

Glad you got that squared away. It's nice to know the sensor is accurate.

No worries! Now I can't wait for my yellow fogs (decided to go that route after a little fender bender knocked out one of my Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs).

But your "garage" is empty, Dalan.

This is the part for the 2.0t engine? Or..?

I don't have a good photo and my phone takes crappy pix. My bad. Yes, the part above is for a 2.0T -- unlike for the 3.0T or 3.2L, it's twisted on the bottom. Why, I don't know.

No doubt the twist dampens harmonic vibrations that would otherwise make the engine sound noisy at highway speeds. <VBG>

A piece of twisted fish tape. Well, that certainly explains why it is such an expensive one.

Unfortunately we do not have the TDI model loaded on the site yet.

What year is your TDI Q5, 2014?

Jason
