Default PTEL SIM stopped working...

Hey folks,

I went for the pre-paid SIM from PTEL. It worked like a champ for a month, and then suddenly stopped.

I've verified that I have the correct APN entered, and I've rebooted the MMI.

Anyone else experience this issue?

Default ptel quit working

I have same issue. I can't get it to work again...

The issue is internal to the Ptel network. You need to contact their support group (which was a nightmare - hopefully it's gotten better!). Tell them that they need to re-build the account. They said they reset it the first time I called, and that did not work. They deleted and recreated the account, and that did the trick.

I did call ptel. My $10 pre-paid plan had been used up. By the looks of it (ptel sent me a copy of the usage record) my Q7 had connected several times to make updates in the background. Ptel support was great. They refunded half of my $10 and added an extra $2 to my next $10 pre-paid plan. On the Q7 I turned off Automatic Connect which will keep the car from accessing the internet without me knowing. This is working great for me now.
