RobC has put together a site that covers the specs of the Audi wheels. Lots of good info.

http://www.robcheng.com/audiwheel/

This is one of many tire calculator sites that deals with offsets and backspacing.

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

One thing to realize is that a change of the width of the wheel will change the offset and backspace.

If you can, stay away from spacers. Buy wheels with the right offset. Spacers have been known to sometimes cause vibrations.

I agree. My goal was to avoid spacers. Someone else on here told me that they went into a 35 offset and it fit fine. Just a much more aggressive stance.

Well nothing like having your question answered before it is even asked. I wondered if I could get away using a +35 offset and it looks like that will not be an issue. This is great since there are many more wheel options available with a +35 offset than there are for +39. So if I go with the 18” wheels and the +35 offset will there be any negative effects/impact on the car? Everything I have read suggests not but I want to make sure that I did not miss anything.

I also am interested in recommendations on an all season tire. In the part of South Carolina that I live in we rarely get snow/ice and if we did the car will stay in the garage until it melts which is usually a day or two. So all I really have to contend with in the winter are cold temperatures and rain.

And lastly, depending on where I look, I have seen the bore for the A6 listed as 66.5, 66.56 and 66.6 mm. I believe it is 66.56 mm and people are either rounding up or down to obtain the other numbers. Is this “assumption” correct? Thanks!

I am planning on throwing some 20's on in place of the stock 19's. What offset range am I looking at? Anyone have the 5 spoke ti wheels with the 35mm offset?
