I live in Chelan, near Wenatchee, and I need to have work on my front passenger side wheel, namely the upper control arms and possibly tie rod ends. Not sure exactly what all needs to be replaced, but the shop that did my timing belt wants to just replace everything, and they want a little over $2000 to do it. I'm willing to pay for the work, but after giving them $1500 for the timing belt, that's going to be out of my price range. I can drive to Seattle area to have the work done and purchase the parts, but like I said, I'm not sure exactly how much needs to be replaced. Anyone interested in helping out?

What you needing the control arms replaced on? Im new to here but on vortex for 10plus years.

I've got a 2001 A6 Quattro Avant 2.8L. Actually ended up taking a shot in the dark and my buddy and I did the passenger side control arms and tie rod ends. Took us a solid 6 hours, but everything went really smoothly so I'm going to be jumping on the driver's side here soon. Also ended up swapping the coil pack, plugs & wires since I had a misfire code the day I drove it to my buddy's shop. Love this car, but damn, she can be finicky.
