Default Help With Loose Steering

2007 A8L with 74,000 miles CPO ran out today. I've noticed that on uneven roads and non smooth roads the steering wheels feels a little loose, disconnected, twitchy. Lower control arms were replaced about 20,000 miles ago. Upper Control arms show "stress marks" according to dealer, but that is normal and they said Audi will not replace them under CPO anyway because they are not below a threshold. Tires are the Pirelli P6 with 25,000 miles on them and are not worn. Dealer says nothing looks worn in the suspension under load and on the rack.

Any advice on what it could be? Alignment was also done about a month ago.

I would double check the upper control arm bushings. This was an issue I had with mine. Also, in my W12, with wider tires when I hit potholes or big bumps, the car would move or jump a little bit.

Thanks Brozee. I was thinking of taking it to an indy shop and having them take a look at it. The dealer already told me that the upper control arm bushings show no signs of wear, and if they replaced them, Audi would deny the CPO claim after inspecting them. Sucks, because i can tell something is "off" on the front end on uneven roads, but no suspension components appear to be worn (according to the dealer anyway). And many times it is a waste of time going for a test ride with the dealer mechanic, as most likely he will always say "everything feels fine to me".
