I bought a bunch of cheap GP (maybe fake) CR3032s frome bay from China.
It took me a year to realise they are junk after I bought a couple of SONYs direct from SONY online store. No more difficult unlocking and "key not in vehicle!" alerts.

I bought that same garbage at a discount hardware store.
For a TV remote it's one thing, but I just replaced my fob battery with a top of the line Energizer.

Pays not not cheap out on batteries.
Like the veritable mountain of various sizes on my shelf from the wholesale club that don't last a month in anything.
Lesson learned there.

To greatly improve the distance of your key fob, simply hold the key against your right temple and open your mouth in the direction of the vehicle and press the button.... Works every time. Your head acts like a wave-guide and channels the RF toward the vehicle.. I could get double and sometimes even treble the distance out of my key fobs this way...

I actually se this technique by pressing it below my chin, this actually works ( at least on my last car)

Not sure about body parts amplifiers, but aluminum washbowl works for sure. In the meantime one can use it as a helmet.
