So I just bought my 05 A6 with 46k miles and looking at its history I see that it was sold as a CPO car to the previous owner. They had it for a year and then traded it in for a new Mercedes, which is where I found it. Does the CPO warranty transfer to me? If so, do I need to do anything?

usually it does not as CPO is not transferable by general rule... but i would bring it in to audi to ask for history n the VIN as a favor so that you know what maintenance needs to be done... they should tell you if the CPO is still on the car.

You may be in luck if the CPO never kicked in and the factory still applies. Although i'm suspect its out of factor as they would have had to take delivery before this time in '05, which means it would have been "late model" sale after the '06s came in.

Reviving an old question since it is a virtual duplicate of my situation.

I'm considering a 2013 A5 Cab that I ran across at my local Mercedes dealership. The CarFax shows that it was last sold as a CPO, which I assume comes with the usual extended CPO warrantee. If I purchase it from the dealer, does the CPO warranty transfer to me?

I found a warrantee transfer form, but it's pretty specific to a person to person sale. Is there a way to tranfer the warrantee after purchase from a a non-Audi dealer?

I bought a 2008 S6 in October 2013. Local dealer informed me there is a CPO warranty balance and gave me the Request for transfer form to complete. I sent the form with $150 transfer fees. Audi Canada never cashed the check nor acknowledged the transfer. I sent them email and called them before X'mas. On the phone they promised to call me back after the holidays. Have not heard from them at all. The whole process has been more than a month. The warranty has prepaid services and I needed it.
Suggest you call AOA to determine the status.
