Key Fob Battery?
Today the key and battery sign popped up on the screen. Turn ignition off, turn it back on, the warning is gone. I think it's time to change the battery on the key fob, I assume that's the warning? What kind of battery does it need and how do we change it, do we need to bring it to the dealer for anything like CP?
Thanks,
Louis

The key fob takes a common battery CR2032. All you have to do is open the key so you can pop the cover off and replace the battery. The cover is on the audi ring side. You can look on youtube if you need visual instructions.
I go through batteries a lot. In 10 years of owning a D2, I remember changing the batteries a couple of times. The keyless entry and start uses the batteries up on D3 keys I guess. Within about a year, I think I have change the battery a couple of times. Since CR2032 batteries are so cheap, I don't mind changing batteries so often because of the convenience of the keyless entry and start.
