Default Thanks. Please send me an e-mail

at nkhalidi-at-yahoo.com. My 'other' car is a 997 that currently has 996 GT3 seats and lots of lit warning lights :-)

Default It's actually an old Porsche special order color. I'm not sure of the actual name

but Champion has renamed it "old man from Chile gray". I can try to find out what it's really called.

If you go to a Porsche dealer, and look through their special order guides, you will see that they have 100's of colors you can special order.

Default I'd appreciate it if you could track down the original name

I had heard that aviator grey was derived from an old porsche color but could never get any more info beyond that.

Default I have a friend with an Aviator Gray car, and the colors are really not that similar....

It was really tough to capture the true color of the Porsche with my camera.

The aviator has a bit more of a blue-ish tone to it than this color.
