Thought it was polished primer. Still not convinced it's not.

Default "Primer" is not any particular color, but rather a type of paint that's made to adhere to

bare metal. Primer comes in many colors.

Find some OEM Porsche color chips from back in the GT1 days and you will see this color in there. It's a pearl believe it or not. The camera doesn't represent it well.

On that car, it looks good. That color on a bike though screams "I crashed and repainted my bike".

Default Yeah, I know. I was referring to the typical grey, lovingly buffed to a fine finish. 8^P

It's very popular here on various body panels of loud Hondtegras and such. Quite exotic and fetching.
