forgot to mention Q5 has a turbo timer built in to cool down the turbo.

No, a turbo timer keeps the engine running for a pre-set amount of time. (aftermarket) Our cars do not do that. We have an after run coolant pump that runs an amount of time depending on heat.(factory)

I know people with stock cars that have boost gauges and people with Stg3 large turbo setups that do not. It's all personal preference.

I had boost gauges in my A4/S4/Golf, and Turbo Timers in my S4/Golf.

yeah turbo timers are obsolete. No need for it.
