Default MAF location?

Can someone please pinpoint me the MAF location od 2.4 V6 BDW Y2007 engine?
There was no single thread on the forum so I could jump in with this stupid question.

On the 4 cars we have owned, they have always been in the air intake box. A really good resource is eRwin Find the site, create an account buy a 1 day subscription and download everything you can find on your car.

Well, that's the point here, it's not on the intake and nowhere near it as well.

I'm not sure how shouting "air box" would be helpful... I've never seen a MAF inside an airbox like that, and these V6's have pretty much an empty box with the filter in it, and in/out.

I'm pretty sure you have a MAP sensor, not a MAF sensor? That's the case with my AUK, at least.
Look up top of the engine, right after the throttle body. You should see a thingy with a connector, fastened with two torx screws. It's bang on top. That should be your MAP sensor.

I have MAP, it's on top bottom side of engine, but can't wrap my had around the fact that modern NA petrol engine has no MAF like most of other VW/Audi engines from this period???
I have some issues with slight choking on low revs and was looking to inspect the MAF as well, but was not able to find it.
Air filter is just a big empty box with filter inside. Nothing on air tube connected to TB as well.
This is first time cognizance, must admit.

Agreed, at least in the US, since the late 90s. You could always get the manuals from eRwin for a very small fee. You just have to sign up for an account and get the one day subscription, then you can download all of the PDF files.

To my defence since I was not able to find it, went googling for maf for 2.4BDW and getting hits, imagine?!?!
Went to etka but was not able to find it for BDW 2007, yet companies sell it for that engine!?
I was scraping my had for two days.

A MAF and a MAP do basically the same thing, just in slightly different ways. MAFs measure flow, MAPs measure pressure. Having both would be weird - not unheard of, but weird. Most modern engines use MAPs.

If you’re having power loss issues and your MAP is good, I’d look to throttle body or fueling issues. Do you have any error codes?
