Forgive my Simpsons reference. Made me smile instead of cry.



Semi truck blew out a tire on the highway today. That's what a tire tread will do at 75MPH. Bumper, headlight, fender, hood, grill, windshield all damaged. 6k miles.

I REALLY hope the Audi Exclusive paint does not become an issue when it comes to repair time...

What really made me cry is when the same thing happened to me (minus the dent in the hood) from a flying piece of wood. You're gonna crap yourself when you see how much those LED headlights cost.

Yikes! Be certain to ask your dealer whether repairs (i.e., paint), and where they are done, could affect the rust through warranty.

That is so sad I wish I could 'un-see' the damage.

Sorry to hear about this. Bad luck! Did you get the information about the truck responsible?

See if you can get the internals of the LED headlamp from whoever does the repair. They're probably okay still and will be good spare parts for you or another owner years from now.

It's an Audi colour, so it should be no more difficult to match than Estoril or any another metallic/pearl shade.
