Rattling noise from front tire pls help!

So 2 weeks ago i had my dad check out the suspension in NY. He said everything looks good, it looks like a new car.
He didnt take apart the brake tho bc the fuel filter took so long to replace. But he did hit the caliper with a rubber mallet and that seemed to make the noise go away for awhile. It doesnt really do it anymore. And after driving over 1000 miles in 2 weeks i havent broke down so im assuming it is the brake or rotar. Which need to be replaced. But thanks for 'helping'. haha.
But im sure im jinxing myself, it seems like everything bad happens to me. No matter what i do the world seems to be against me. Its like I must have did something bad in a previous life to deserve this ****.
