painting front grill?
so i want to do the front grill of my 99 a4 flat black ...

what do i need to do to the chrome before i paint ...
do i need to strip it with thinner or something similar ...
or if i paint it then put a flat clear coat on will it protect it enough from chipping away and revealing the chrome ????
