You can never have too many RS4's...

Alex, speaking of stripping down RS4's....
when you disable the DRC in your motorsport suspension installs, is it feasible to remove as much of DRC components and plumbing to reduce "excess baggage"? or are the DRC components' weight too insignificant to warrant the labor of removing the parts? or are the extra plumbing just plain hard to get to in order to completely remove?
also, how does one get such a clean install done in chicago/midwest without having to drive my RS4 to norcal? Thanks.

We leave the DRC components so the owner can revert back if ever wanted...
so we have not attempted to remove the components. I would suspect removing the lines would be worth very little, however removing the rest of the system might yield a little weight savings.
Please give a call toll free at 888.9STASIS ext 123 and I can likely get you an installation shop that will suit your needs 100%.

An installer told me that after disabling the DRC (in an RS6) to install your system, a dash light
came on (on 2 vehicles) identyifying that there was low pressure in the DRC system. I'm not aware of such a warning light - is he correct?

IIRC, the spring rates on the M3 CS are less than the regular M3.
I don't remember why, but I read that somewhere.
Out of curiosity, how many hours of track time have you put in with the RS4 to come up with your suspension settings?

BMW M3 CS comes with M Sports suspension, higher springs rates...
and there would be no reason to go the other way. Possibly in a much lighter version of the M3, but the CS is a full weight M3. Also just for curiosity I took a peak around, the M3 runs an even bigger front/rear split with even their standard suspension than we do for a car that has better weight distribution than your RS4 does from the factory, ~180lb front and ~320lb rear. Though there are sway bars, suspension design and geometry, damper specifics and more that go into setting up the suspension. The theory and implementation of our spring rates along with damper settings has science behind it along with real world data and feedback.
We don't track customer cars, nor do we own an RS4. We have however worked with this chassis since it's inception, along with the driveline, the DRC with the RS6 and the components that we use for these suspension setups during the last 4 years. That having been said we have had a professional driver, also our owner who is also an engineer, in an RS4. We know what works with these vehicles based on our experience with this chassis and suspension setup since it's inception in the B6. We have an A4 B7 we use for testing, we have many A4 and S4 B7 owners running this suspension tuned to the dime. We can look at weight distribution and overall weight of the RS4 to determine optimal spring rate when compared to data we collect on other models of the same chassis. We have customers providing us feedback for street driving and since all customers have different tastes and needs we offer spring choices in the 50lbs increments in the front and 100lbs increments in the rear along with a 90 day no-charge spring exchange. The dampers also have a full range of adjustment that comes with a guide for each customer to assist in them "tweaking" the damper if they prefer to.
Maybe someday you will have the pleasure of riding in or driving in a car that is fitted with our suspension. Hopefully you will have an open mind and enjoy how much flatter and firmer the ride is while it maintains a very streetable ride quality.
Cheers,

May not track an RS4 but.....
pleanty of time on the track with this B7. Currently has 3 wins and 3 track records in it's first 8 races. Although, there has been pleanty of development in between races from Infineon Raceway to Reno-Fernely Raceway. Yes I know not a full weight RS4 and no cage. But the knowladge is transferable with the chassis being the 'same'.
I have the Ohlin's on my B5 S4 and they are by far the best modification on the car.
As Alex said, hopefully you will get the opportunity to drive a B7 with the set up on it.

Very nice and very tempting. I got a chance to drive an RS4 with this suspension last week...
Ajay (RS4SPKS) was gracious enough to let me drive his car. The ride is very close to stock from a comfort perspective. I couldn't push it too hard as we saw several cops on the curvy road we went to. Ajay had it a little low for my liking in the rear but the front was perfect. The car pictured above looks awesome.
This and the exhaust will likely be my only mods to the RS4.
