hey guys have just had a towba installed with the audi specific wiring harness. I have been to the dealer to have the car coded for the towbar. But how do i know this has been done, just as nothing seems any different, i was told it would deactivate the rear parking sensors yet when im in reverse the sensors still bleep, have i been fobbed off?

You should be able to check the Parking Aid [76] with VCDS to see if it was coded properly:

+1 = Trailer Hitch installed
+2 = Rear View Camera installed

Don't know if it is supposed to stop beeping or not with a hitch installed.

I have a 07 Q7 that I just installed the factory hitch and tow module on. What software and hardware do I need to re-program? I understand I need Vag-com but which version? And is that all I need is the Vag com software loaded on a PC and a cable to plug the laptop into the vehicle? Any help is appreciated. Dealership wants $250 to reprogram... I already paid almost a grand just for the hitch I think they have enough from my pocket...
