Springs vs Coilovers

Springs vs Coilovers
Simple question... I will eventually have 19's, I know coilovers is the best option, but can you change the springs, keep the stock shocks and still be able to drive it and not fear of the shocks blowing out?

The quick answer is yes.
Lowering springs on a stock factory shock will fit. They don't however offer adequate damping for the higher rate springs, making it not an ideal combination. Will you still be able to drive it, yes. With the higher rate springs eventually wear the shocks out, yes. Is it unsafe, no.
