2000 A6 2.7T fuel filter replacement
Can anyone help me with this?
To be honest, my 94 S4 had the FF in the engine compartment and changing it was a breeze but with this A6, I'm not so sure.
I understand that I need to pull the fuel pump fuse but basically, where is this thing and what are the particulars in changing it?
Thanks, Richard

Look under the rear of the car just in front of the fuel tank on the passenger side.
What you see is what you get.

Your fuel filter is located just inside the frame rail, under the right rear area of the car. It should be just ahead of the rear wheeel and is a silver colored aluminum cylinder with an in and out line on either end. Replacement shold take about 5 to 10 minutes once the car is up off the ground where you can access it. If you have basic hand tools and mechanical ability, the job is pretty straight foward.

Pinch the rubber hose from the gas tank or it will drain....
These are relatively cheap at Autozone or NAPA:
