Well, you certainly need to inspect the brake system. Bleeding should be a part of normal brake system maintenance.

Bleeding--pressur bleeder advised--is a part of my pad replacement procedure.

And if you employ old pedal pump technique, don't push the pedal down to the floor. Unlike clutch, brake pedal never travels 100% down so power pressing it while bleeding might cause seal failure.
Power bleeder if the easiest to do. |

Bled the brakes, the old fashioned way. I was careful.
One front line expelled a few small bubbles. Both rears where "dry". It took a few pumps to get fluid flowing. pedal is firm again. I think a fluid change is in order in the near future. Thanks for the responses. |
