Question? Button in door

Hey I just noticed this today, guess I've never paid that close attention to the door. What is the button on the door for that when closed would face the door frame. It looks like it either has something to do with a hill or tow. Couldn't seem to find it in the owners manual. Its in the drivers side door.

Thank you didn't seem to see that in my book. Also I only have the one that looks like the bottom button. Appreciate the help.

I think that's because the pictures are from the European version. I don't believe the us models have the motion sensor. We do get the toe away protection though.

Also the A6 is the least likely stolen car in the us too so no worries.

Thanks well thats always good to know. Hey do our cars come with some high tech security that I don't know about. When i purchased mine I paid 400 extra for some security solutions thing. If my car is stolen they finish paying off the car plus give me 5000 towards my next car. I financed thru wells fargo. I thought it was just part of the GAP insurance, but they stated that this car should not be stolen and if it is it will be recovered quick. Does it come with say a preset lojack type thing?
