Default no start need some serious input 1.8l

ok so my cam swap went good after i got a new timing belt but no i have no start or kick ect ect.

here is what i have done

i swapped my cam shaft for a 266 TT camshaft for the mk 2 VW since they are literally the same motor and new camfollowers as well i made sure both were hydraulic

i have re-reset and reset the cam and crank timing marks multiple times to TDC and finally have it spot on and not a tooth off

now i know i have spark i have taken all 4 plugs out and tested for spark on all wires ect. that has been reset multiple times as well and i have checked to make sure it hasnt moved

while testing the compression ( which sits at 190 on cyl 1 and 200-210 on the other 3) fuel very cleary shoots out the plug hole so ik im getting fuel

i did replace the intake manifold gasket but the didnt have a glitch when i put it back in so now im stuck as to why the three elements of combustion aren't combusting

and i checked the spare fuse and its good the only hing i dont have hooked up which i dont think i would need is the PS pump and alternator

all help is appreciated and thanked in advance

I would definitely check your timing. You seem to be quite off. Check that, adjust it, and report back

The cam gear can be installed backwards. The timing mark on the other side is different(for the 5 cyl engine) Make sure that it didn't get flipped over.

My guess would be something simple like this, timing being 180° off, et cetera.

The annoying part of the "simple things" is that you'll pretty much have to go over it completely and recheck everything you touched, taking it apart and reassembling if necessary. The car ran before, right?
