Audi Nav compared to Lexus?

If you like touchscreen Navs, then the Audi Nav might disappoint
In terms of getting you from point A to point B, the Audi Nav is not bad. But IMHO, it was a tad disappointing compared to the navigation in our 2002 Honda Odyssey since that was a touchscreen that seemed very well designed.

Oh no, not saying that at all.
We like having ours. Coupled with the Bluetooth, the Technology Package was worth it to us. It's just that if you compare it side by side with a really good navigation package, you might be disappointed that Audi chose to go with something that is more similar to a Mazda navigation unit.

The biggest "downside" of the RNS-E (for me anyways) is no touch screen.
But I don't really care for that anyways.
Upside:
- Repeat nav info in the DIS between the gauges, no need to look down to main unit.
- SD card MP3
- Integration phone if you have the factory BT module.
In short, it's more than just a Nav unit.

Touchscreen is overrated. Frequently used touchscreens wear out too quickly.
Plus greasey fingered passengers touching it all the time. NO thanks. I'm actuall glad Audi chose NOT to use a touchscreen.
