I need something loud and very very high quality because they will be my only speakers in the car (except for the single 10" in the trunk).
I like high quality sound, and I am open to anything. 150w RMS powered by a JL 300/2 would be nice.
Not much techno or rap here, maybe the occasional rap song. More rock/reggae. Lots of reggae.
Amps are:
JL 500/1
JL 300/2
Sub:
JL 10w6v2
Components:
???
Also, do I need a cap or anything like that? I am using the RNS-E Headunit with RCA Outputs.

What's your defenition of high quality sound? Price range?
Recommendations will depend on what kind of sound you're looking for. More midbass? Bright tweeters? Smooth overall response? Rock guys usually like strong midbass. Tweeters are more of a personal preference thing.
150W should be more than enough to power any component set and I don't think you'll need a cap your total power output will only be about 800W.

OK, I found those speakers. Good for Reggae? $380 a decent price?
I need to figure out what kind of wiring to use that is high quality.
I am trying to keep this setup as light as possible, but with two amps do I need a cap?

Price would like to be under $500. High quality... who knows, better than stock, lol!
I am looking for great midbass with some nice tweets, nothing super sharp that is going to be ear piercing on reggae songs where the rhythm on the upstroke is kinda bright.
Anything out there with bright tweets that can be tuned down a little?
Do you guys think I need an EQ? I don't want to get complicated if I don't have to.

I love when people ask me to do that.. :)
I am no longer in Socal, but where in Socal are you?
DLS is a Swedish company which makes great-sounding amps and speakers which win sound quality trophies.
They are not very bling-y, but they sound great and are very good values relative to many other speakers.
