Default Glad you're ok, but quick question as i'm having a similar sound in my...

headliner, inbetween the two opensky windows, there's a clicking or slight rattle, maybe a squeak, hard to explain. If i press on the headliner while driving, it stops. And if I have the open sky open, I can still hear it. I'm wondering if you recall hearing the sounds when your open sky was open?

Default perhaps the clearance tolerance should be bigger

glass doesnt have a large coefficient of expansion, but if it was made in germany during the cold of winter and it comes to a warm part of the US, combined with glass that met the tolerance limit but was at the high end of said limit....could be the issue (thermal expansion/stress combined with vibration).

Yup, I remember. An angry ex BF of my in-car new GF slammed (and shattered) it.

Default I'm confused. On one post you say your insurance company is paying for the repair.

Is it an Audi defect? (if so, I would think it would be warranty work)

Or was there some sort of road hazard that broke the glass? (which would make sense that it's an insurance claim)

Just curious more than anything else.

By the way, either way, I'm sorry you had this happen to your car.
