Default Need some help choosing a gearbox. FAV and DEX.
I have found a gearbox for my 1998 Audi A6 2.8 Quattro. The original gearbox is broken and the 3 letters are DEX. The gearbox that I’ve found has the letters FAV. Are these 2 the same and will it be compatible with my car?

From looking at the two charts, the FAV should be compatible with the DEX. Of course, I have never done the swap, so your experience may vary,,,

i have seen one thing in the charts and that is “electronic throttle”. This is available in DEX, but not in FAV.

It didn’t work. When the car reaches 50 km/h, it goes into limp mode.
