Chrome to Black out Trim
#21
A little background...
In the 1980's, a car without chrome was the "cheap" version. The nicer cars had chrome. Think "dx or dl versus lx" trim levels.
I will say I don't subscribe to the blackout fad. However, I see the point for the grill, just not the windows.
But take it from someone who grew up in the 80's - chrome/brightwork is the way to go. For baller 1980's - you must chemically treat the chrome so it has a gold finish, which is mostly appropriate on a Mercedes.
Just don't chrome your wheels, bumpers, mirror housings, door handles, fuel flap... because that's 1970's.
The 1990's ushered in... plastic.
Have fun!

I remember when my parents bought a 1994 Acura Legend (great engine btw) and when we were at the dealership, the sales guy asked if we wanted the "gold" trim (letters and emblems). Sure enough in two days of picking up the car, it had gold lettering. The option cost close to $500 at the time ... oh the old bling day ...
