While I have nothing but positive words for the A3 at its price point, it is not a lowly car with the P+ and Prestige models easily going north of $40k, and if you see one in person it is unmistakably of a lower luxury and quality level compared to the A6/A7.

It's unlikely that an A6/A7 buyer seriously considers an A3 a competitor, and it's probably likely that the A6/A7 will get the updated MMI either this or next model year.

But an A3 to an A7 is not an apple to apples comparison.

Nothing new here, let's see what they announce at the Paris auto show in October. I guess Audi is under no pressure to update the A6 since the new E class isn't coming until 2016.
