I suspect i have something weird going on with my AMI interface, it plays USB sticks flawlessly, but it doesn't want to connect Iphones or Ipads, the MMI display just gives an error message that it cannot communicate with the apple devices. Iphone4 gives an message that the software of the phone isn't compatible with the AMI box.

The MMI system is updated to 50.70 version and works otherwise fairly well (except that it sometimes, like once or twice a year starts jumping with the USBB stick music, but a reset always solves that problem).

What could be wrong?

There is an AMI update that might help per this post.

Ironically was just reading about it on the Audi site yesterday but can't find it there now.

Also make sure your iPhone is at the latest version, 5.1.1 IIRC

Please use search before hand. As he linked to my previous post, that update I uploaded fixed anothers issue with apple devices not playing. So throw that update on a USB and update it and I guarantee it will work.
