Default why do i have to have these strange problems :o).

On my way home from the store, i start the car and radio was on mute. I try push the button, steering wheel button and turn the radio on/off (nothing). Radio stays on mute. Next day i restart the radio and its off. Turn the radio on and sound is back, like nothing really happen. Is that software glitch or something is wearing off?

One thing that may be possible for strange "electrical type" glitches is a warm up in weather. Since there are mini computers running many things (i.e. the MMI) with high temperatures from sitting in a garage it could cause glitches from time to time.

For example one day for no reason when I started my car my drivers seat moved to a position I had not ever put it in. It was hot in my garage that day so that's the only thing I can attribute it to. It hasn't happened again since.
