Default Factory clutch is out - looks like this after

9K miles. Not good - you can see the hot spots and the factory flywheel is off level by 20 thousanths just like the replacement that clutchmasters trued up level.

Geez. When are you getting the clutchmaster fixed version to your car? What symptoms did this clutch have?

Did you launch the car excessively? Are you pushing a lot of power?

I have the Stasis tune, GMG exhaust w/o center resonator and a cold air intake. I drive the car hard but do not abuse clutches - always in neutral at lights etc. I drove an E36 M3 for 149K street miles and over 300 track days on the OEM clutch.Been driving manuals for almost 50 yrs and have never replaced a factory clutch in numerous performance cars. I think a combo of more power and crappy materials mean the 6-spds need a better clutch for track use.I'm amazed at the condition of the unit given my past experience.I'm rethinking my plans for headers and hi-flow cats.

E36 M3 = bullet proof... Audi clutches = butter apparently.

Still miss my 95 M3.

Then you should of had Audi replace your clutch under warranty. I have had no issues with my stock clutch. Stasis tune has little WTG increase over stock. WTG is what kills clutches.

Will show the unit to Audi but I bet they will call it abuse and decline to do a damn thing.I just drove home with the Clutchmasters unit and am thrilled - approx 30% stiffer than stock and can definitely feel the higher friction disc lock up.Totally different feel and take up - actually feels like my Porsche clutch.

Sounds like a great setup with the clutchmasters. I may have to consider this.

Dont know about that. I had to replace my 97M3 OEM clutch at 7k and the dealer admitted it wasnt my fault but blamed it on me anyway. I had to pay for a new one. I was too young back then to know about complaining or TSBs/Recall notices. Anyway, the next clutch lasted until 49k miles when I sold the car last January.
