Default 2009 audi A4 2.0 Quattro power drain after battery & alternator replacement

I replaced the alternator & battery. Had to put it on a charger to get it started. Let the car sit & idle for 5 mins then drove it for 10 min. Turned the car off and tried to start it. Nothing battery has been drained. Checked all connections. What am I missing?

You could be missing a ton of stuff. There's not much information in that post. You need to assess if the wiring between the battery and alternator is good. You need to assess if there's any short between the positive and negative sides among any of the vehicle wiring. Is the alternator working and producing any charge.

Do you have VCDS or such so you can review the values in the measuring blocks?

Are you sure you got the right alternator? Because it wouldn't be the first time someone picked up the VR or alternator for the BWT in the 2009 cabriolet (which is a B7 product) instead of the one for the CAEB in the 2009 sedan/avant.

What is your battery PR code from your PR codes sticker? J0_?
