Default Got into a car accident :( Car is only 4 months young!!

Got hit from behind at the traffic light this morning. The lady saw the green light and decided to hit the gas when my car was in front! Damage to the bumper, not a big issue and my insurance will replace it for me so I am good there.

Feeling back pain and neck pain now..made an appt to see the doctor soon.

My insurance agent is recommding me to go to Cederbrae. Is it a VW dealer? or VW Audi dealer? I was thinking of going to Pfaff. Any suggestions? My insurance agent said Cedarbrae and AllState(my insurance co) will guarantee the work done there since it is an authorized dealer. Car rental and everything will be taken care of at Cedarbrae so I dont have to worry about any out of pocket expense and get reimbursement. I havent submitted an insurance claim in over 10 years so I am a bit lost and hope you guys can help

Default My agent wants me to go to Cedarbrae...

Wonder about the quality of the work to be done on my car since they service mostly v dubs. The bumper will be replaced so i wonder about the paint job. I am also contemplating the s-line rear valence since i am getting a new bumper anyways...

Default Try to get to Pfaff.

They will work this out in terms of the s-line rear and do great work.

A few around here have suffered the misfortune of the hit from the rear, and Pfaff has come through for them.

Default You don't have to go to where they recommend.

They "recommend" places because they have some business relationship with those places to make their life easier i.e. easier paperwork, familiarity, etc.

You can go with pretty much any place you feel comfortable with.

Default Agent suggested Pfaff since they will guarantee the work done for as long as I own the vehicle..

But since it is an issue with the bumper more than anything else...it is a non issue.

Default Cederbrae is VERY good and if the insurance company "recommends" them....all the better!

As a preferred shop, the insurance company will not be as "tight" to approve certain repairs
